The Self Catering Holiday Villa Location in Doral Woods, nr Kissimmee, Central Florida

Our house offering self catering accommodation is in a small cul de sac in Doral Woods just to the south of Kissimmee in Central Florida. This is a development with a difference, set in the rural, wildlife conservation area of Reedy Creek in easy reach of the major attractions (e.g. Disney being just 17 minutes drive). Additionally many prime locations can be accessed without having to battle with the often busy and congested Highway 192 or Interstate 4.

The development is situated 10 minutes south of the Highway 192 on Poincianna Boulevard and is minutes south of the Orange Blossom Trail (17/92).

A short drive south will bring you to a thriving retail area with a choice of supermarkets, pharmacy, video hire, nail bar, bank and restaurants. A recent arrival is a super Walmart which will provide for all your possible needs. The town of Kissimmee is also nearby with its numerous facilities.

Environmental Center (alligator circled)

Its natural location provides an ideal setting for escaping the hustle and bustle of the theme parks and 192 and so giving a peaceful location to return to after a hectic day's enjoyment.

For days resting from the parks you may wish to laze around the pool and take in much of the natural surrounding wildlife. You could treat yourself to the ultimate chill out in our heated spa with vortex jets. We recommend using it at 100°F.

For those regular travelers who are looking for more than the main attractions there are many local activities. At weekends the Osceola Schools Environmental Center is open to the public and there you can take a boardwalk through swamp land and alligator spot.

Feeding goats at Green Meadows

Disney World

Animal lovers might like to take advantage of the horse riding facilities provided just 3 minutes drive away at Horseworld. There you can take a trail ride of a difficulty of your own choice. Your children will love the Green Meadows Petting Farm where they can get hands on milking cows, washing pigs, feeding goats and riding a pony.

A little further away you can have the unique experience of an airboat ride through the wilderness of the Central Florida Everglades. If you are feeling brave and not frightened of the dark you can take one of their night tours.

If you are a keen golfer then Poincianna Golf Club is a championship qualifying course with very affordable on-the-day ticket and is just 7 minutes away.

Boat hire, water sports and fishing are available at lake Toho at downtown Kissimmee. You can even take a ride on the Amtraks and go to Winter Park for the day.

No visit would be complete without at least one day at the Theme Parks. Disney World is the closest being just 17 minutes drive away. Visit Mickey at MGM / Magic Kingdom, go techno crazy at EPCOT or make a rapid descent of Everest at Animal Kingdom. For aquatic animals you can visit Shamu and his friends at Seaworld (20 mins) and if it's an adrenaline buzz you need then where else but Islands of Adventure or Universal Orlando (25 mins).
